11 Milestones in 21st century theatre

A conversation about the Belgian experimental theatre company. Natasha Tripney & Duška Radosavljević got caught up in an extensive conversation on nearly 25 years of Ontroerend Goed work. About expectations, the pleasure of post hoc intellectual (dis)closure, and the eagerness of the local audience in SUMMIT. 'The result is a witty piece of metatheatre whose main political intervention is to prompt individual contemplation of issues concerning imagination, agency, resistance, belief, responsibility.'

Ontroerend Goed maakt regelmatig remakes. Dan herwerken we een voorstelling met lokale acteurs, in een andere taal, op een plek waar we anders niet zouden spelen, of met niet-professionele acteurs. Zo werd 'Funeral' het afgelopen jaar tweemaal hermaakt: een keer in Shanghai, en een keer in Ieper, met OPEN DOEK. Remi Cosijn, regie-assistent bij Ontroerend Goed, begeleidde deze remakes.
